MedTrainer Adds Industry Leader Jim Lacy to Board of Directors

REDLANDS, Calif. – Jan. 27, 2021 – MedTrainer, the award-winning software provider for training, compliance, accreditation and credentialing, announces the addition of Jim Lacy to its board of directors. An experienced product-focused software executive, Jim brings extensive experience and industry knowledge to MedTrainer. Jim’s vision and insights will complement those of the current board members in guiding the company’s strategy and growth.

Respected for his track record of turning healthcare start-ups into major industry players, Jim gravitates toward high-growth enterprises that provide high-impact solutions for organizations.

“I am drawn to companies driven by talented, dedicated people looking to solve real issues for their clients,” said Jim Lacy. “MedTrainer caught my attention for its dynamic leadership and expanding customer-driven solution set. The company’s powerful and easy-to-use compliance and credentialing tools have proven the ability to transform business processes for small and medium sized providers and is poised to extend into major healthcare enterprises.”

Most recently, Jim served as president and chief operating officer of Collective Medical, the nation’s leading real-time collaboration platform that closes communication gaps across care settings and helps improve patient outcomes. Following a period of rapid expansion, Collective Medical was acquired by PointClickCare in December 2020. Prior to that, Jim spent 14 years in executive leadership positions at Waystar, a Louisville-based healthcare revenue-cycle-management software firm, formally known as ZirMed, Inc. At Zirmed, Jim worked closely with Mickey Arabelovic, founding partner of Telescope Partners and lead investor in MedTrainer. “Jim was critical in scaling ZirMed to hundreds of millions of ARR, and we are excited for him to bring that experience to MedTrainer”

”Jim is a legend in healthcare IT, and it’s an honor to have him join our board,” said Steve Gallion, CEO, MedTrainer. “While MedTrainer continues to reflect a strong growth trajectory, we are ready to move to the next level. We’ve seen how Jim successfully pushes companies into rapid growth, and with his input and advice, we look forward to what will come.”

Jim currently serves on the boards of several companies, including Cloudmed, Ontario Systems, Ciox Health, VisiQuate and Marketware (recently acquired by Medsphere).
