The Occupational Noise Exposure Standard (9 CRF 1910.95) protects workers with significant occupational noise exposure from hearing loss and regulates the monitoring, audiometric testing, hearing protectors, trainings, and record keeping pertaining to noise and hearing. This course will give healthcare professionals the knowledge about OSHA training requirements for hearing loss prevention based on 29 CRF 1910.95 as well as a full understanding of the effects of noise. Topics covered include measuring noise, noise levels, engineering controls, administrative controls, hearing protection, and audiometric testing.
