Section 1557, in effect since 2010, is the ACA’s nondiscrimination provision, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability in certain health programs and activities. This course covers the provisions, development, who must comply, prohibited actions, and the requirements for communicating all pertaining the section 1557. You will also review some examples of discrimination so that you are able to apply your knowledge to the workplace.
