The newest Coronavirus has been classified as a member of the species severe acute respiratory syndrome-related Coronavirus and has been designated as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV-2. It is commonly referred to as "coronavirus disease 2019" and abbreviated "COVID-19." The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11, 2020. All 50 states have reported cases of COVID-19 to the CDC. Best practices continue to evolve as additional information and guidance become available regarding this disease.

- Discuss possible therapeutic options for COVID-19 patients.
