According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) is the most prevalent healthcare-associated infection.
This course will provide an overview of indwelling urinary catheters, discuss the prevalence of complications related to indwelling urinary catheters, and review evidence-based guidelines in the documentation, insertion, maintenance, and specimen collection of indwelling urinary catheters.
