Urinary tract infections are the most common adult bacterial infection in the world. UTIs are responsible for an estimated 7 million office visits, 1 million emergency room visits, and 100,000 hospitalizations each year. In this course, we will review chronic urinary tract infections and associated signs and symptoms. We will also discuss evidence-based recommendations for the management of recurrent UTIs, as well as strategies to improve patient outcomes through coordinated care and patient engagement.
