This course will provide the learner with an overview of progressive support and care recommendations for individuals with dementia (including Alzheimer’s Disease) based on the person-centered care approach. Recommendations will include situational assessment, personal care and assistance with the activities of daily living (ADLs), safety and autonomy considerations, and lastly, end of life care and timing of hospice.
